In a world of downsizing and electrification, the engineers in Stuttgart are working feverishly to continue building the world's best sports car and the new 992.2 GTS seems to be bucking the trend...at least partially. Under the hood we now find a 3.6L engine with ONE turbo instead of the old 3L twin-turbo engine that was in the old car. To help them, the new stove has a Turbo, but not just any turbo. Between the turbine wheel and compressor wheel there is a small electric motor that spins up the turbo faster under load and eliminates lag, and when coasting, the exhaust gases that pass through the turbo act as a small generator for the battery. This setup together with an electric motor between the engine and gearbox gives a combined output of 541hp. A pretty significant step up from the old car's 480hp. - - This example is specified in Shade Green Metallic. A color that we first saw on Porsche's 992 Dakar but which is combined here with black center-bolt rims in GTS design.
