Over the last 15 years, the automotive world has given us a number of interesting...and some less interesting new segments of cars. Completely new types of cars that never existed before. A good example of that is coupe SUVs. All of a sudden, there was a completely new market and a completely new segment, a segment that today flourishes and is stronger than the corresponding car such as a regular SUV. Another example that was actually earlier out was the sedan-coupe. Four-door cars with the profile of a coupe. A difficult design exercise but one that for many manufacturers was very successful. Today, BMW has a range of models in the segment and at the top of the hierarchy is the M8 Gran Coupe Competition. - - This example left the factory in a magical and rather wicked color that BMW itself calls Frozen Tanzanite Blue. A matte dark blue shade that dresses this understated sedan very well. The exterior is completed by 20" rims in black and a series of details in carbon fiber.
